HONOURS ASSEMBLY AT DANBO INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE
On the 6th of February 2025, Danbo International College hosted its highly anticipated Honours Assembly, showcasing the successes of the students regarding their academic performances. This event, which is held termly, brings together the students, teachers, parents, and school leadership to celebrate those who have worked hard enough to excel in various year groups.
Celebrating Academic Excellence
The highlight of the Honours Assembly was recognizing the top ten students from each year group. Students who have shown exemplary academic performance were called to the stage to receive well-deserved awards. Their achievements are a reflection of their determination, discipline, and commitment to their education. This was something to be proud of for both the students and their families, who had worked so hard through the year.
The recognition included students in every year, including the youngest ones in the lower years all the way up to the seniors on the brink of graduation. At each announcement of a student achieving, the wild round of applause reinforced that attaining excellence really matters, which is enhanced with consistency in trying.
Words of Wisdom from the PTA Chairman
The event was graced with a motivational talk by the PTA chairman. The PTA chairman congratulated the students upon this hard-earned achievement while reminding them of greater tasks ahead in their academic pursuit. He addressed the importance of maintaining focus, resisting peer pressure, and staying committed to one’s goals despite the distractions and challenges that can arise during school life.
“Students, whereas it is easy to be swept away by the opinions and pressures of others, remember to keep your eyes on your aspirations and goals. Sometimes, peer pressure stands in the way, but the road to success requires determination and resilience. Keep your eyes on your targets, and with focus, anything is possible,” the PTA chairman said.
His words went deep into the hearts of the students, reminding them that success is not defined by recognition from without but by their inner strength and perseverance to rise above the challenge and stay on the path of pursuing their dreams.
A Collective Effort of the Danbo Community
The Honours Assembly proved to be a day not only of recognition but also of reminding the combined effort that goes into shaping an individual with all-round development. Teachers, staff, and parents all contribute to guiding students through their school journey.
